  • How to fix rows that fail

Before you start

You need at least one site before importing. Imports accept CSV or Excel (.xlsx) files, or rows pasted straight from a spreadsheet.

Vehicles need Registration, Make and Model columns. Trailers need Registration Number and Type. Everything else is optional.

Run the import

Open Assets, choose Vehicles or Trailers, and select Import vehicles or Import trailers. You can also import from the vehicle step of the setup wizard.

  1. 1Upload: choose your file, or paste your rows.
  2. 2Match columns: check each of your column headings is matched to the right AutoMauve field.
  3. 3Review: flagged cells are highlighted. Fix them in place and recheck, or import the good rows now and leave the rest. Choose a default site for rows that don’t name one.
  4. 4Done: see how many were added. If any rows were skipped, download the list to fix and import them later.

Common problems

A row is rejected if the registration already exists in your company, including assets you’ve deleted. Restore the deleted one instead of importing it again.

Trailer length, width and height can only be added by import. They show on the trailer’s details page once set.

Still stuck?

Drivers: ask your fleet manager first, they can fix most access problems. Managers: sign in and open a ticket, or use the contact form if you can’t sign in.
